The Great River Race was GRRRREAAT

September 8th, 2007 admin

Had lunch with Joyce at Canary Wharf today. Think I will eventually end up living near there… Tried to catch my team mates on the Great River Race today. After lunch I headed backwards to Westminster bridge. I obviously underestimated TYPHOON! Called up Sunil and was instructed to head to Greenwich when I suspected they might have been too good to not show up by this bridge by now.

So I chased them to Greenwich by tube and bus. By the time I got there, they had already been ashore for half an hour! Typhoon paddled 22-miles in 2:35. Well done dudes… Sooooo proud of you even though everybody looked thoroughly shattered by the end of it. Luckily Andrew Cheung’s got video footage at Hammersmith and another bridge. Can’t wait to see it on YouTube.

Church in the morning (finally meeting Jaime), dim sum with Quan and some BBC folks after, meeting Kareen in Bayswater in the evening and heading to Trinh and Deepak’s wedding do! Tuesday will be the launch of Scubazoo’s Reef book at Waterstone’s at Picadilly. Not sure if I can make it yet as it clashes with a church thing. I’m going to run in the London tree-athlon next Sat. Can’t wait! Already got the tshirt in the mail and I am all pumped up.

What else? Yong Pang made a Hurricane Tigers video with the Eye of the Tiger for music background. I’m in it training my ass off! LOL

Curtis’ birthday do at Harrys in Monument last Thurs. Melissa came down from Wales and so we took a piccy! Will post it up as soon as it’s available. Ah just for eye candy, here’s a recent shot of Typhoon Tigers for you! Will share the GRR pics when available. Ciao for now! GO TYPHOON!!!!
